Baby and Toddler Rhyme Time volunteer training session
the Philipsburg Jubilee Library hosts a fun-filled hour for children under 4, where children sing along to popular children’s songs. Rhyme time incorporates song with actions, props, etc. to provide a fun-filled and highly energetic activity crucial to children’s development at this age. The aim of the Rhyme Time sessions is to enrich the childhood experience of babies and toddlers. This initiative strives to enhance children’s development through interactive play, learning, and physical activity. Zahira Marmar will provide a workshop at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library on June 16th from 9:30 until 12:30 for volunteers willing to do the Rhyme Time sessions. The participants will be invited back on June 17th to witness Rhyme Time and get an idea of what the session entails. At the volunteer workshop those taking part will learn: the art of positive interaction with children, imaginative interaction with puppets, varying vocal intonation and facial expression and how to deal with all kinds of children in a constructive way. Persons interested in volunteering at Rhyme Time and attending the training workshop can contact the Philipsburg Jubilee Library via telephone number 542 2970 or via email: admin@stmaartenlibrary.org.
