Have you ever heard about the Titanic? Would you like to read a story about it? Then come to the Philipsburg Jubilee Library at 3:00pm next Wednesday, March 19, 2014 to get your chance.
Bi-Weekly Story time on the Titanic
Library staff member, Melackia Spencer will be reading “Escaping Titanic: A Young Girl’s True Story of Survival” by Marybeth Lorbiecki. Come listen to the story of how twelve-year-old Ruth Becker and her family are suddenly aware that the Titanic is in trouble. Will Ruth be stranded on the Titanic? The only way to find out is to come to the library and hear the story for yourself. The fun doesn’t end there. After story time, there will be a hands-on arts & craft activity for you to do. You don’t want to miss it. The story hour is open to children ages 6 to 12 years old. At this time, the library cannot accommodate after school care groups and child care centers for this story hour program. However, a special story hour can be scheduled for interested groups. For more information on this and more storytelling events, please call Maryland Powell at the library at 542-2970.
