Story hour at the library
This Wednesday, storyteller and library staffer, Morena Ignacio will be reading from one of the library’s children’s books called “Dave the Potter” by Laban Carrick Hill. Children will read about Dave, who was an extraordinary artist, poet, and potter living as a slave in South Carolina in the 1800s. After story time, there will be a hands-on arts & craft activity with clay for all of the attending children to do. For more information on this and more storytelling events, please contact Maryland at 542-2970.
