In April 2023, the Anguilla Library Service visited the Sint Maarten Library as part of their celebration of National Library Week, which has as its subject "There's More to the Story..."
The delegation's arrival reinforced the Sint Maarten Library's commitment

to fostering conversation on the topics that unite librarians and educators.
The group was given a tour of the facilities, a PowerPoint Presentation of a virtual tour before 2017 Hurricane Irma and her damages, information on where the Sint Maarten Library is currently at in relation to where we plan to be after our celebration of a 100th year of services in November 2023. A sneak peek at some of the materials we provided, like the iSTEP Technology Markers (Intergration of ICT in Learning of our past through technology of the future)
They were also given a tour of our recently updated website, catalog, and partnership with the Kingdom Library, commonly known as the Royal Library of the Netherlands, and the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC).

We highlighted the beloved Sint Maarten collection and Mary L. Romney-Schaab's donation of the "Alice and Lionel Romney African Diaspora" collection.
The staff at Cornie's Beach Bar and the library also served the delegation a delectable traditional breakfast and homemade bushtea.
Both libraries are excited about a potential future of partnership where accessibility and inclusion of services will deepen cooperation for both communities as we share similar services and goals.
In the near future we hope the Anguilla library and its people, as well as ours, can access materials and services across boarders, since we at the Sint Maarten Library are devoted to inclusivity. In order to create stronger ties both areas and resources make available, as we we strengthen cooperation, shared resources and library services.
