This year, the Library was honored to take part in the Career Fair 2026 hosted by the Sint Maarten Vocational Training School under the theme “Opening Windows to New Opportunities.” The event provided students with valuable insight into the diverse career paths available within the library sector.

Representing the Sint Maarten Library were Librarian and Reading Consultant M. Powell and Media Coach F. Housen. They engaged students in an interactive presentation highlighting the wide range of roles within the Library, from entry-level positions to senior leadership opportunities.

Discussions focused on career development, educational pathways, and the importance of continuous personal and professional growth. Students were introduced to the Library’s various service areas, including administration, technology, media, and community programming.

Emphasis was placed on the message that building a successful career requires ongoing skills development, dedication, and informed decision-making. The Sint Maarten Library remains committed to initiatives that guide young people toward meaningful career choices.

The organization extends sincere appreciation to the Sint Maarten Vocational Training School for the opportunity to participate and commends its continued efforts to equip students with knowledge about the many possibilities within today’s job market.

The Sint Maarten Library looks forward to continued cooperation in supporting students as they explore and pursue their future career aspirations.
