The Power of Knowledge motivational lectures return to the library

For the next Power of Knowledge lectures of this year, the library has invited Mr. Lenworth Wilson and
Mr. Rolando Tobias. Mr. Wilson will speak on how to process the past, practice good habits and prepare
and plan for the future, while Mr. Tobias will speak on financial planning and budgeting. These sessions
will be broadcast on the library’s Facebook page and in the local media, starting August 11th , 2020.

Philipsburg, June 30, 2020. The overall winner, Aquilla Pemberton, a fourth form student of the Sint Maarten Academy, received a laptop from the Philipsburg Jubilee Library. Ms. G. Holiday was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, the Honorable Rodolphe Samuel, who handed Aquilla her prize as seen in the photo.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library would like to inform the general public that the library is open again. Opening hours are: Monday – Friday from 9 am until 5 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am until 1 pm Of course, Covid19 prevention measures apply. All visitors are required to wear a mask, sanitize their hands, keep social distancing, and follow the instructions of the staff.

Philipsburg, May 18, 2020. The Philipsburg Jubilee Library is back in business, but with some restrictions. Until further notice, only “DROP OFF and PICK UPS”, at the window will be allowed.
Drop Off and Pick up of books are daily from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library is pleased to announce that applications for the 2020 Literacy Campaign are steadily coming in.

To accommodate the request of some students and school managers PJL have decided to extend the deadline from May 15th to May 29th, 2020.

It is with great excitement and based on the commitment of the program manager and staff I bring you the good news of the re-launching of PJL Story Time. The story time will be aired two times a week on PJL website: stmaartenlibrary.org and on PJL Facebook:stmaartenpjlibrary, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
