“The Readers are Leaders” platform will be presenting a cultural evening to celebrate a Pre St. Maarten’s Day, under the theme “This is My Island under the Sun” in song, poetry and dance in the foyer of the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 5pm

Sher’s Puppet Theater presents “Respect: children learning how to communicate” at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library’s weekly Story Time “Dutch is Fun” done by Sherida Mak. Saturday 5 November 2016 from 11am to 12pm.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library (PJL) will hold a screening of the documentary ‘One Kingdom, One Love’ (OKOL) for teens and young adults on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 6:30pm.

'Readers are Leaders”, a reading program organized and supported by the Philipsburg Jubilee Library and the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise will be hosting their 7th annual reading competition opening ceremony for the 2016 – 2017 term on Wednesday 21st, September 2016, from 5.30 pm to 7.30pm at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.

SXM Reads Platform has re-open it’s Literacy Help Desk for persons who needs assistance with literacy and language problems.
The literacy helpdesk will be open from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and on Saturdays from 10 am to 1pm.

“S’Maatin Then and Now! A historic and photographic excursion” book on Sale at Philipsburg Jubilee Library, St. Maarten National Heritage Foundation and Museum on Front Street and Parrot Ville Bird Park & Heritage Museum located Bishop Hill Road, Belvedere.

— The Philipsburg Jubilee Library has added yet another new feature to the program of its Media lab; “Online Language Learning”.
As of Wednesday September 14th the Media lab will be transformed into a language lab on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 6 and 8 pm.

— Senior Internet classes are in demand at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, classes will commence as of September 2nd, 2016.
The senior classes will be held in the Media Lab of the library every Friday morning and afternoon, starting September 2nd, 2016 to December 16th, 2016, time: 9 am to 12.00 pm and 2 pm to 5pm.

— The Africa Caribbean Heritage Alliance (ACHA) in collaboration with The Philipsburg Jubilee Library (PJL) and the Sint Maarten National Commission for UNESCO will commemorate the UN observance of the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition on Monday August 22nd and Tuesday 23rd August, 2016 from 6 pm to 9pm, under the theme “Unleashing YOUR Potential- It Is Boundless”
