The Philipsburg Jubilee Library offers Story Time every last Saturday of the month, and specially for Babies and Toddlers Story Time every 2nd Thursday of the month. The program consists of storytelling, singing, related activities as crafting and games. Occasionally there are also puppet shows, performers and other special activities.

Cineclub St. Maarten presents Monday January 9th, the movie “Sarah’s Key” at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library at 7.30 pm. Ticket office opens at 7.00 pm.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library is the only public library on Dutch St Maarten . Our library is on its way to become the National library of the new country St Maarten. We have a highly motivated staff of 15 librarians and library assistants.

On Monday November 28th, Minister Rhoda Arrindell will give a special presentation about her thesis : Language, Culture and identity in St Martin” at the library. On May 21st of this year Minister Arrindell successfully defended this thesis and graduated Summa-cum Laude as Doctor in Philosophy at the University of Puerto Rico.
