Reading and writing with Anne Frank

Reading & Writing with Anne Frank’ is a travelling exhibition specifically designed for children aged
9-15. The exhibition tells the story of Anne Frank’s life. Special attention is paid to her diary and the stories she wrote whilst hiding in the Secret Annex. The aim of the exhibition is to promote reading and writing by putting Anne Frank forward as an inspiring role model.

PJL’s 3rd Annual Storytelling Workshop

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library in collaboration with the Ark foundation will once again organize its 3rd and final year of storytelling workshops entitled, “It Takes a Story to Raise a Child”. This remarkable workshop is designed to develop persons in our community with the capability to tell stories and to enhance those persons, who already have some experience in this field.

Reach out and Read

The Reach Out and Read foundation will once again be hosting the Reach Out and Read program in cooperation with the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
This program is for children who need extra practice in English reading.
Students from schools with English as language of instruction must be at least in Cycle 1, year 4.

A spectacular book sale of used books will be held at Philipsburg Jubilee Library on
Saturday September 01st 2012 from 10 am until 1 pm. Videos will also be on sale.
