This Saturday, November 4th, 2017, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library will be having a spectacular book sale.
This book sale is to bring back normalcy to the reading community of St. Maarten

On Tuesday October 24 th ,2017, from 9 am to 5pm,
the Philipsburg Jubilee Library will reopen to the general public after two challenging
months. The library remained closed through the month of September and partially
through October to allow the staff the time to complete necessary clean up and repairs.

Trinidadian native and inspirational author of “Living Through 2016: Beyond Fiction” J. K. Pascall recently presented his newest book entitled “Dialogue from mind’s heart to yours” to the Public Relations Officer of the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, Maryland Powell, to circulate among the community of St. Maarten.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library was presented two copies from author Mrs. Latoya Lake’s latest book “Chronicles of my deception: Kayla’s Truth” by Windward Roads Infrastructure.

the much anticipated 2nd edition of Where’s Where in St. Maarten (WWSM) was released to the public in an official launch held at the Jubilee Library in Philipsburg on Friday, August 18th. The first copies of “Where’s where in St. Maarten” were offered to the Director of the library, Mrs. Monique Alberts and Assistant Circulation Supervisor, Daniel Helligar.

The Reach Out and read Foundation will once again be hosting the Reach Out and Read program in cooperation with the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
This program is for children who need extra practice in English reading

Not everybody knows that since 2013 members
of the Philipsburg Jubilee Library can borrow almost 900 e-books and audiobooks free of charge via the website of the library. The e-book titles are provided by the US based company Overdrive. The e book service is quite popular among a small dedicated group of library members.

On Friday August 18th, 2017, Mr. Robert Espitia will be launching a unique magazine entitled “Where’s Where in St. Maarten” (WWSM) (2nd Edition), at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library The full size full color magazine with thousands of copies strong will be distributed to the public at large during the launching event which will start at 7 pm.

During the summer the Philipsburg Jubilee Library would like to notify the general public of its grace period and our opening hours,
The Grace period commences as of Tuesday, June 27th until Saturday, July 8th, 2017. Patrons have the opportunity to bring in all their overdue and/or lost books at no cost to them.

On Thursday June 15th, 2017 Christel Horst presented to the interested audience of the Power of Knowledge Series of the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, her journey and testimony into discovering the benefits of oils that assisted her with her lifestyle changes in and around her home.
