Rotary Club invites public to unveiling of Peace Monument
PHILIPSBURG--May 31 will be a historic moment for the Rotary Clubs of St. Maarten and French St. Martin and indeed for the island itself when the new Rotary Peace Monument will be unveiled.

Author and Illustrator, Drs. Mulberry Egstorf-Pantophlet, is on St. Maarten to present her 320-page illustrated book For a Stick o’ Fire with over 1500 verses and rhymes.

Paul Martens presented his Master’s thesis, “Varend op eigen kracht: Naar een effectief scheepvaarttoezicht op Sint Maarten”

Philipsburg Jubilee Library’s (PJL) staff members Francia Housen, Circulation Manger/Interim Systems Administrator and Irmin Hughes, Manager Information services travelled to St. Eustatius to conduct two days of introductory workshops for the staff and board members of the Gertrude Judson Bicentennial Public Library (GJBPL), on May 12 to May 13.

On the occasion of World Telecommunication Day CaribServe, the Broadband Internet brand of UTS, has committed to supporting the Philipsburg Jubilee library in its endeavor to promote the reading of e-books .

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library will be hosting its weekly, Saturday, story time at 11:00am on Saturday, April 19.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library (PJL) and Collective Prevention Services (CPS), Ministry of Public Health, Social Development, and Labor, officially launched their “OrganWise Guys” program on St. Maarten.

PHILIPSBURG—Starting Tuesday, April 8 and onwards, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library will be hosting courses for the use of multimedia.

“If you are interested in learning how to become more versed in the use of the internet and multimedia, then take part in the Medialab courses where you can learn how to use the internet, make presentations, create movies, games, flyers, posters and much more”, suggested library Director, Monique Alberts

GREAT BAY, St. Martin (March 18, 2014)—The Philipsburg Jubilee Library (PJL) in partnership with the National Development Plan (NDP) will be hosting a panel discussion set for Thursday, March 20, at 7:00 PM, at the Library.
